NASA’s Mars helicopter completes 55 flights on Mars

 NASA’s Mars helicopter has completed 55 flights on the Red Planet, the agency said on Wednesday. The helicopter had its 55th flight on Aug. 12, in which it reached an altitude of 10 meters and traveled 264 meters for 143 seconds, according to NASA. The helicopter, named Ingenuity, arrived at Mars’ Jezero Crater on Feb. 18, 2021, attached to the belly of NASA’s Perseverance rover. The helicopter is a technology demonstration to test powered flight on another planet for the first time. The helicopter was designed to fly for up to 90 seconds, to distances of almost 300 meters at a time and about 3 to 4.5 meters from the ground,  according to NASA.

Bulgaria issues guidelines for AI implementation in schools

 The Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science on Monday issued guidelines for the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in schools. The guidelines are for teachers, school officials, parents, and schoolchildren, to assist  in the proper and ethical use of AI, said the ministry. The 41-page document gives a definition of AI and how it works, and mentions AI tools such as chatbots. It says that the use of AI should help to improve the quality of education, and remain in line with national educational regulations. The guidelines also call for a balanced integration of AI tools into the learning process, since these tools provide both new opportunities and potential risks. "The use of AI in education must be constantly monitored and evaluated for its impact, taking into account the pace of development of technology and especially of AI systems and tools," said the document. Amezing Human Successfully Implanted with Brain-Chip by Neuralink, Elon Musk's Company

  Elon Musk, founder of Neuralink and billionaire entrepreneur, revealed on Monday that the inaugural human patient received a brain-chip implant from the startup on Sunday and is recovering positively. Musk shared on social media platform X that the initial results indicate promising neuron spike detection. Having received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration last year, Neuralink initiated its first human trial to test the implant. Musk also disclosed in a separate X post that the first product from Neuralink will be named Telepathy. According to reports, Neuralink’s ongoing PRIME Study focuses on evaluating the safety of the wireless brain-computer interface and surgical robot. The trial aims to assess the functionality of the interface, allowing individuals with quadriplegia to control devices through their thoughts. China launches commercial Lijian-1 Y3 carrier rocket

  China on Tuesday launched the Lijian-1 Y3 carrier rocket with five satellites onboard. The rocket blasted off at 12:03 p.m. (Beijing Time) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, and sent a group of satellites into the planned orbits. This launch marks the third flight mission of the Lijian-1 carrier rocket series. Developed by researchers at the Harbin Institute of Technology in Heilongjiang province, the Longjiang 3 experimental communications satellite was lifted by a Kuaizhou 1A solid-propellant carrier rocket, which blasted off at 10:35 am from its launch vehicle at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the country's northwestern desert, according to China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp, the rocket's maker. A commercial Lijian-1 rocket carrying five satellites blasts off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China.
